The ODA was designed to identify strengths and gaps in MSS’s program. It allowed Marie Stopes International to observe that their global standards are being followed, and what a country program should be aiming for in 7 categories of organisational development viz: Strategic Management & Leadership, Financial Management, Technical Performance, People & Development, Project Cycle Management, External Relations and Governance. This process helped MSI prioritize the support that was most needed for the MSS Country Program and the major output was an Action Plan for the next 12-18 months. The objective was to assess that the organization is functioning as per the guidelines of MSI and the relevant systems and procedures are in place and are being properly followed. ​
